Rates are quoted in South African Rand and are inclusive of VAT. Rates are subject to confirmation and availability and may change without prior notice. Reservations are subject to terms and conditions on check-in, and right of admission reserved.A non-refundable cleaning fee of R500 will be charged.
We require a 50% deposit from guests to secure a reservation. Once deposits have been received, it is then deemed that you agree with these terms and conditions.
There is also a security deposit of R1000.00. Security Deposit is refunded within 48 hours after departure, provided the property is left in a tidy and clean condition as found, with no breakages or damage to the property or its contents – repairs or replacement of anything damaged or broken will be deducted from the security deposit. As the guest you may be liable for additional costs as a result of damage to the property exceeding the security deposit amount..
No show or early departure forfeits 100% of total stay.
Cancellations 14 days or less prior forfeit 80% of total stay.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior forfeit 50% of total stay.
Cancellations in excess of 31 days prior will incur a 20% administration fee to cover banking and handling charges.
Please note that we do consider a cancellation on merit, if it is truly beyond the guests’ control, and will charge accordingly
Check-in: from 14h00 – 18h00
Late arrivals: We kindly ask you to arrange with management.
Early arrivals: Early check-in is only possible if the room is ready for occupation. If not, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the house while you go out and explore the beautiful town of Knysna
Out of respect for neighbours, noise levels should be kept to a minimum.
PAYMENTS TO THIRD PARTIES
We do not pay third parties for any other services on your behalf. If monies are deposited into our account incorrectly we do not refund until cleared with our bank and will only refund directly into the original payer’ account less any banking and transaction fees.
ACCEPTED MEANS OF PAYMENT
We currently accept EFT’s Cash on arrival.(Unfortunately no foreign currency ) and payments through online booking agents and tour operators. We do not have a card machine on the premises as of yet.
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or the house, but ashtrays are provided on the private patios
Damage done to furniture, fixtures, fittings and linen by any means including smoking, hair dye, will be for the guests account.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.
Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behaviour or carelessness, or keys lost and replaced for security reasons will be for the guests account
No persons, other than those quoted at the time of booking, are permitted to share the accommodation. In the event of additional guests arriving, they will be charged an additional fee.
All accounts to be settled on arrival.
We welcome children on and we hope the fresh air give them rosy cheeks. Please watch children at all times. Please mind our upholstered furniture for the little dirty hands and feet.
PET POLICY: Pets stay FREE. (We do require R1000 refundable deposit)
*All dogs, cats, caged birds and any other well-behaved pets welcome all year round.
*No pets are permitted on the furniture and pets must be free of ticks and fleas on arrival. .
*No unattended pets allowed inside the house! Dogs must be walked on leashes.
*Guests must clean up after their pets and are required to pick up the poop (even outside yes:) We have special poop scoops as well as a special bin.
*Please don’t let the wet dogs lie against upholstered furniture and free the loose carpets.
*All pet bookings are subject to approval. We do have a questionnaire clients can request.
*We do require pet’s vaccinations be up to date and that male dogs are sterilized.
*No female dogs that are on heat will be allowed to stay at the property.
*Even if an establishment is pet-friendly, you must communicate with them prior to your arrival and confirm pet types, breeds and sizes allowed, as well as any special conditions which may apply. Please feel free to contact us for a Pet Booking Form
*Owners are responsible for their pet(s) at all times. Do not leave your dog locked in your guest room, that’s why we have built dedicated pet enclosures
*Please don’t travel with your dog if he/she is aggressive or destructive. This is for obvious reasons
* An additional cleaning fee may apply if you are travelling with your pet. Please be sure to check with the property owner.
VACCINATION HEALTH AND STATUS –We only do this to ensure every pet that stays with us is as safe as possible
All pets must have up to date vaccinations.
Owners must apply a tick & flea treatment such as Frontline before checking in their pet, to ensure that the pet is free of external parasites.
Pet Owners shall produce their pet’s current or most recent Vaccination Certificate from a qualified and certified veterinarian, and or proof of Kennel Cough Vaccinations in the past 11 months at least.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking if the Pet owner fails to produce the pet’s most recent Vaccination Certificate.
Parrots will be required to provide a beak and feather disease free note or proof. We do have a large toxic free powder coated cage on the premises as well s bowls.
